To choose a music soundtrack when you are creating or editing a video, click the music icon on the main editing section of the screen. You are then given the choice to upload your own MP3s, iTunes music or AAC files, or choose from our selection of music.

When you view our full library, the list can be sorted alphabetically by title, artist, genre, or track length. (Just click the header of the column to sort it.) Have Animoto Pro? You can mark your songs as favorites and view them in the "Your Favorites" folder later. Just click the heart next to the song.

To use your own music, click the "Upload Songs" button.

To upload, navigate through your computer files where your digital music is stored. Upload time will depend on your Internet connection and the file size of your song.  Your music files must be kept under 10 minutes in length and 10 megabytes in size.

As always, if you are posting your videos on the internet, you should make sure that you have permission from the copyright holder to use specific music tracks. This is especially important if you are using the videos for business purposes. All of the music in the Animoto music library is already licensed for you to use so that you do not need to worry about this.
