How can I adjust the speed of my video?

Controlling the speed at which images appear in your video is useful for syncing your images with your chosen music, and also for squeezing more images in for a given song.

To adjust the speed:

1. Click the gear icon in the corner of your unproduced video.

You should see the editing options, including song start time and image pacing:

2. To change the pace of your images, move the pacing slider to the right (faster) or left (slower). Generally, if the pace is faster,  you'll be able to include more images.

More Options for Changing the Speed of Your Video

  • Choose a slower song.

All Animoto visuals are designed to intelligently respond to the structure and rhythm of your music. So if you choose a more mellow tune, your images will appear at a slower pace.

  • Use the "Spotlight" feature.

The "Spotlight" feature lets you emphasize certain photos by keeping them on the screen longer. Simply highlight the images you'd like to see emphasized in your video, then press the "Spotlight" button.

  • Choose a different style.

Some styles can accommodate more photos. Play around and see which one might work better for you.
