How long will it take me to make a video?

The length of time it'll take for you to make a video depends entirely on you. If you're looking to make a simple video, it shouldn't take more than a few minutes. If you want to make a more sophisticated video, with well-timed transitions, images that are paced to different songs, and so on, it may take you longer.

After you finish editing your video, it takes our system approximately 10 seconds to render 30 seconds of video.  So, if your video is 3 minutes in length, it should be produced in about a minute. Once the process is complete, you'll get an email notification.

High-resolution upgrades

If you're upgrading the quality of your video, it'll take a little more time to prepare it. It usually takes about 20 seconds to upgrade 30 seconds of video. So, if you're upgrading that same 3-minute video in a higher resolution, it should be ready in about 2 minutes. You can check the status of your video in the downloads section below your video. If it states "Producing video...", it just needs more time. If it's available for download, your upgrade is complete.

Stuck video?

If it's been a few hours and you think your video might be stuck, email us a link to the video (starting with http://animoto.com/play) and we'll be happy to take a look.
