Vimeo import warning: "your video bit rate is only [x] kbit/s..."

While importing your Animoto video to Vimeo, you may be given a warning like this:

"This video’s bit rate is only [x,xxx] kbit/s, which is lower than what we recommend for H.264 video. Your video might not look as nice as it should. For 1920x1080 video, we recommend a data rate of at least 10,000 kbit/s."

Vimeo's recommendations are based on a generalized assumption that HD videos should have a certain data bitrate.

For every video produced by Animoto's platform, we ensure that your video has a balance of high video quality (sharpness, frame rate, compression), while maintaining a low data bitrate that can ensure fast streaming and immediate playback.

This warning about your video's low data bitrate can be safely ignored.
