Hi there! This article is about Animoto Memories, our original slideshow creation tool. As a company we've decided to focus our energy on making updates and improvements to our newest offering, Animoto 3. That just means there won’t be any new updates or changes to Animoto Memories going forward. If you love using Animoto Memories though, we will always be here to support you if you have any questions!

Adjusting video clip volume
The volume level of audio and video clips in Animoto Memories slideshow videos is set automatically. When you upload a video clip to Animoto Memories, your video clip's audio is on by default and the video's soundtrack will be played at a lower volume so that your clip's audio can be heard.
If you still can't hear your video clip over the music, we recommend increasing the volume level of your clip before importing it into your video. Here’s a website we use to get this done fast: videolouder.com
Mute your video clip
To mute your video clip, double click on the video clip you want to mute to open the editor. Click on the speaker icon to mute and unmute your video clip.
Mute your video's soundtrack
Since the length of your video is set by the length of your song, each video does require an audio track. If you want to remove the background music in your video, you can use a silent track. You can find it in the Animoto music library under "The Silence."
