Occasionally, our customers ask us for invoices and receipts. We’ve found there’s been some confusion about the difference between the two, so we’ll clarify below.
An invoice is a document issued to a buyer in advance of payment, relating to a sale transaction and indicating the products, quantities, payment terms, and agreed prices for products or services the seller will provide the buyer. A receipt is a confirmation of payment for services purchased.
Animoto provides receipts for service and since our service requires immediate electronic payment when the service is activated, there’s no need to render an invoice and we do not provide them.
