There are many things that can cause payment failures, which are usually easy to fix! If your subscription purchase didn’t go through, you’ll first want to check that your billing address and CVV information are correct, your card isn’t expired, and the region you are purchasing from doesn’t have restrictions on out of country purchases. If you’ve verified your information is correct, you may need to contact your bank as many consecutive failed attempts can cause them to block the payment. If you still aren’t able to complete your purchase, the Animoto Customer team can assist with alternate payment methods.
There are several reasons why you may have trouble finalizing your subscription purchase. The good news is that most purchase issues can be fixed fast by doing a quick review!
First steps
We recommend starting off with these steps:
- Double check your zip code and CVV information are correct
- Confirm the expiration date on your card and that it is not passed that date
- Check in with your bank/card company directly for more information
- If using PayPal, you may need to turn off the 2 factor authentication setting in your PayPal account and try again
It's never a bad idea to check in with your bank about purchase errors. They'll always be able to take a deeper look into the reason, and maybe even clear it up right away!
Payment button is not active
If you are unable to complete your purchase because the payment button is not active, double check that you have filled out all address fields on the left hand side of page. The Country and State fields are easy to skip over, but are required. Once you've filled out all the address form fields, the payment button will active and you'll be free to complete your purchase.
