Users on the Professional and Professional Plus plans can choose a cover image for their video! For users on the Free and Basic plan, the cover image will be taken from the first few frames of the video. We recommend using a logo, text block or a unique image for your first block to make your video cover stand out!
Users on the Professional and Professional Plus plans can upload their video thumbnail, via the custom play page settings on the Share page. Click Edit to open the play page customization page.
The option to add your thumbnail is on the left hand panel.
After downloading your video, the cover image may change because it's been detached from the Animoto website that sets the image. If you plan on sharing your video to social media, some platforms will allow you to select a cover image directly through them.
