Why Don't I See my Videos in the App?

If you’ve opened the Animoto mobile app and your video isn’t there, don’t worry! This usually means you’re in the wrong app, the video hasn’t been exported yet, or you’re logged into a different account.

This guide will help you find your video and make sure it appears in the right place.

Your video isn't in this app

Animoto has two mobile apps and a web-based video editor. Videos are specific to the mobile app and tool they were created in so finding your video is often a matter of making sure you're using the right one. 

  • Animoto 3 videos created in the Animoto Video Maker & Editor will only appear in that app
  • Projects created with Animoto Memories will appear in the Slideshow Maker app. If it's an older project, you'll likely find it here.
  • Videos created on the desktop website will appear in their corresponding mobile app only after they are exported or produced.

Your project needs to be exported or produced

If you created your video on the Animoto website, it won’t show up in the corresponding mobile app until you export or produce it again. If you made changes after exporting, you’ll need to export the video again for the latest version to appear in the app.

You're checking the wrong platform

Animoto videos can only be edited on the platform where they were created.

  • Videos created in the mobile app will not appear on the desktop website
  • Videos created on the desktop website will appear in the mobile app only after export

If you’re switching between devices, make sure you’re looking in the correct place.

You may be logged in to the wrong account

If your videos still aren’t showing, you might be logged into a different account than the one you used to create them. This often happens if you sign in using an Apple Private Relay email (a hidden email address created by Apple).

How to check for a Private Relay ID:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name to view your Apple ID settings.
  3. Tap on iCloud.
  4. Tap on Hide My Email.
  5. Look for Animoto on the list

If Animoto is listed, you may have used a Private Relay to sign in. Try logging out of the app and logging back in with the email you use on the Animoto website.

You can check the email associated with your Animoto account on the Profile tab of the Accounts Settings page.
