You can easily import photos and videos into your Animoto project from multiple sources! Upload media directly from your phone by scanning a QR code in the Media Library, or share a unique link to invite others to add their photos and videos to your project. You can also connect your Dropbox, OneDrive, or Box account to browse and import files from your cloud storage folders. This makes collaboration easier than ever!
You have more options than ever before to import photos and video clips in your Animoto project! You can upload media directly from your phone, link third-party cloud services, or send a link to collect photos and videos from others.
Import Photos and Video Clips from your Phone
To import media from your phone head over to the Project tab in the Media Library. Click Phone to get started.
Quick note: You will need to keep your project open until all uploads complete otherwise they will not load to the Media Library!
That will open up a QR code you can scan with your phone, which will take you to a page that will prompt you to browse your phone’s library. You'll get a notification once your media has finished uploading.
Send a Link to Collect Photos and Videos
You now have the option to send out a link for others to drop their media directly into your project! From the Media Library, select Share Link. That will open a dialogue for you to either copy the import link, or email it directly. That will direct them to a link where they can select their media from their phone or device.
Import Media using Cloud Services
You can add media directly from your Dropbox, OneDrive, and Box accounts right into your project. To upload Media from one of your cloud service accounts, select the Import From option on the Media Library. From the pop-up that appears, select the cloud service from where you want to import your media. After you sign in you'll be able to drop your media into your project.
