Share your Animoto video

The Share page is where you’ll find all the options for sharing your video. Export your video before sharing or playing it. Link sharing, downloads, and embeds are unlocked with the Basic plan or above.

From the Share page, you can send a link so others can watch your video online, download an HD copy, embed your video on a website, or email your video directly.

Common Issues

If the Play, Share, and Download options are greyed out, open your video for editing and export it again. How to export your video. 

If you get a message that says your video is no longer available and to contact the video creator, your plan may not support sharing. You can learn more about our plans here. 

If you are using a browser on your phone, the share page may not display correctly. Switch to a computer and try it again.

How to access the Share page

The Share page is where you’ll find all of your sharing options: download, share a link, email, or embed your Animoto video. You will automatically be taken to the Share page when you export your video, or you can access it from the Projects page. 

On the Projects page, hover over your video tile, click the 3 dots, and select Share to be taken to the Share page.

Share a link

Your Animoto video has a unique play page that your viewers can use to watch your video online. Open the Link tab to get the link to your video. The link won't change even if you export your video again, so your viewers will always see the most recent version. Users on the Professional and Professional Plus plans have the option to customize the play page with their own branding, cover image, and clickable links.

Download your Video

  1. Open the Download tab on the left of the Share page
  2. Select 1080p or 720p resolution to start the download
  3. For lower resolution, click Show More to reveal the option for 360p

Email your Animoto video

  1. Open the Email tab
  2. Enter recipient email addresses separated by commas
  3. Optional: tick the box to be notified when recipients view the video
  4. Click Send

 

Embed your Video

  1. Open the Embed tab
  2. Adjust player size, resolution, volume, autostart, and loop
  3. Copy the embed code
  4. Paste it into your blog or website
