What are Templates?
Templates are ready made video frameworks that you can use to create your video. Our template library was designed by our team to give you a jump start on your video creation- no need to build from scratch! Animoto templates come preloaded with images, music, and design settings, but you can always swap those out to make it your own!
You can customize every part of a template, including layouts, text, transitions, music, fonts, colors, and ratio.

Step One: Choose your Ratio
Make your video fit anywhere you want to share it. Simply select a new ratio, and your design will automatically adjust.
Step Two: Add in your photos and video clips
Replace the template media with your own images and video clips, choose from our stock library, or try a mix of both! You can use our templates as a guide, or you can add a new block and create something completely unique.

Step Three: Edit your text
The text in the template is there for inspiration, and you can use that as guide for what you want to include. Double click on the text box to edit the text that’s already there, or change the font, color, or size of your text. Each template has a text transition style attached to it, which you can change via the Text Settings menu under the Design tab.

Step Four: Add Transitions
Transitions are how one block connects to the next one. Your transitions add motion between blocks and can help set the style and feel of your video! You have full creative control to choose different transitions from the same style, or mix it up with a combination of styles.
Just click between blocks to preview and apply.

Step Five: Add your music
Choose a track from our licensed stock library, or upload your own. You can even record a voiceover for even more impact.
That’s all there is to it! Once you’re finished, click Share to finalize your video.
