I Was Charged a Different Amount for My Subscription

If you see a charge from Animoto that is a different price than you were expecting, you can reach out to the Customer Team first so we can assist you. Here are some common scenarios and how to remedy them:

Your last purchase was made with a one-time promo code

Most promotional codes and discounts are single use and do not carry over to future renewals. Some promo and referral codes only apply to that specific purchase, so it may not apply to future purchases. If you would like to use a promo code before your subscription renews, you can turn off auto-renewal and manually extend it using a current promo code.

State sales tax

Animoto collects taxes if you live in one of these states: Arizona (AZ), Connecticut (CT), Illinois (IL), Iowa (IA), Kentucky (KY), Louisiana (LA), Massachusetts (MA), Maryland (MD), Minnesota (MN), New York (NY), Ohio (OH), Pennsylvania (PA), Rhode Island (RI), South Carolina (SC), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Utah (UT), and Washington (WA).

The cost of tax will be added to your cart before you finalize your payment, and shown as a line item on your receipt from Animoto.

Foreign transaction fees

Animoto is a US-based company. If you are purchasing an Animoto subscription outside of the United States, it is possible that your bank may charge an additional fee. We recommend checking your bank statement for any fees applied, and comparing that with your Animoto billing receipts. You can learn more about how to find information about your purchase history here.
